Sermon by Praisim Peter
SPIRIT OF FAITH THAT MAKES THE WORD OF GOD ALIVE TO US!
2 Corinthians 4:13 – “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.”
Every time I see God move, there is a physical shift in the atmosphere. It's an anointing that drops down, and whenever that happens, my faith rises. I’ve learned that this kind of atmosphere comes when I’m very close to Jesus, when I’ve prayed a lot, and, most importantly, when I’m in a surrendered posture before Him. - Ev. Praisim Peter
"It’s faith that makes the Word alive because faith comes by hearing the Word. And the Word is not just words—it’s Jesus Himself! The Holy Spirit is alive in the Word of God, making it active and powerful in us, but this is activated by faith." - Ev. Praisim Peter
Don't seek faith, seek Jesus!
🔹 Romans 10:17 – “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
🔹 John 1:1, 14 – “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God… And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” (Jesus is the Word!)
🔹 Hebrews 4:12 – “For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
🔹 2 Corinthians 3:6 – “The letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” (The Holy Spirit makes the Word come alive!)
Faith is More Than Belief—It is Action!
Faith is not just believing—it is acting on what you believe!
🔹 James 2:17 – “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”🔹 Hebrews 11:6 – “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”
Faith requires stepping out—acting on what God has spoken, even when the natural circumstances make no sense.
That stepping out and that believing is your part, and when you do your part, God does His part!
Supernatural Provision & Faith
When I was moving to Nashville, I needed thousands of dollars. The problem? I had absolutely no money! But for some reason, I had this supernatural faith in me that told me I would receive it. And sure enough, God provided! My mom, dad and my sister were praying hard, and that prayer gave me the faith and I could take action according to the scriptures of provision!
🔹 Philippians 4:19 – “And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”🔹 Matthew 6:33 – “ But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
Faith in God’s provision means trusting Him alone—not our bank accounts, our jobs, or our own abilities.
The Spirit of Faith & Supernatural Protection
I’ve been in situations where the devil tried to attack me—near-accidents that could have been deadly. But in those moments, I had zero fear. I knew nothing was going to happen to me. It was as if I was in a bubble of divine protection or I felt like I was driving my car / motorcycle in a video game!
The Spirit of Faith was upon me and the scriptures in the word became alive!
🔹 2 Corinthians 4:13 – “And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, ‘I believed and therefore I spoke,’ we also believe and therefore speak.”
🔹 Psalm 91:11-12 – “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.”
The Spirit of Faith protects you—not because of your effort, but because of God’s supernatural covering!
Anointing for Healing & Miracles – Example of my revival meetings and the story of Peter & John
In revival meetings, when I pray for the sick, I can literally feel that it’s not my faith at work. It’s as if I’m funneling an anointing of faith, and healings begin to break out! There was a time when I was at a revival crusade, completely exhausted and drained. In that moment, I fully surrendered myself to Jesus, and immediately, the atmosphere shifted. I felt a fresh anointing surrounding me. Faith began to rise, and every person I prayed for that night was healed! - Ev. Praisim Peter
The early church operated in this same faith. Look at what happened with Peter and John in Acts 3:
🔹 Acts 3:6 – “Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’”
🔹 Acts 3:7-8 – “And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.”
🔹 🔹 Acts 3:16 (MAIN VERSE) – “And His name, through faith in His name, has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.”
Peter and John didn’t heal this man by their own faith—it was faith in the name of Jesus that healed him!
Examples of Jesus Using Faith
Jesus didn’t just teach faith—He demonstrated it!
1. Jesus Calmed the Storm with Faith
🔹 Mark 4:39-40 – “Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, ‘Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?’”
Faith commands storms to stop. Jesus didn’t ask—He spoke with faith, and the storm obeyed!
2. Jesus Raised Lazarus by Speaking Faith
🔹 John 11:41-43 – “Then Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, ‘Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me…’ Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come forth!’”
Jesus knew Lazarus would rise before it happened. He spoke faith, and death had to obey! Lazarus had no faith! It was the faith of Jesus!
The Gift of Faith
Some believers operate in a supernatural gift of faith that enables them to believe for the impossible beyond natural human faith.
🔹 1 Corinthians 12:9 – “To another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by the same Spirit.”
This gift of faith comes directly from the Holy Spirit and allows believers to operate in extraordinary faith beyond their natural ability!
Hebrews 11 – The Faith Chapter
The Bible gives an entire chapter dedicated to heroes of faith—those who walked by faith and saw miracles, provision, and breakthroughs!
🔹 Hebrews 11:1 – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
🔹 Hebrews 11:3 – “By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
🔹 Hebrews 11:7 – “By faith Noah, being divinely warned of things not yet seen, moved with godly fear, prepared an ark for the saving of his household.”
🔹 Hebrews 11:17-19 – “By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac… concluding that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead.”
Hebrews 11 lists faith warriors—Abraham, Moses, Noah, Sarah, Gideon, David—all who accomplished impossible things through faith!
Altar Call & Impartation of The Gift of faith
If there is anyone here who has not yet given their life to Jesus, I invite you to come forward if you wish to do so and pray with me.
You are saved through faith, by confessing with your mouth, acknowledging that Jesus Christ is Lord, and repenting of your sins."
Prayer of Salvation
"Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God. I confess with my mouth that You are Lord, and I believe in my heart that God raised You from the dead. I repent of my sins and ask You to forgive me. Wash me clean, fill me with Your Holy Spirit, and help me to follow You all the days of my life. I surrender to You completely. Thank You for saving me. In Jesus’ name, Amen."
Prayer to Receive the Gift of Faith
"Heavenly Father, I ask You for the gift of faith. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and increase my faith to believe for the impossible. Let my faith be active, alive, and unshakable. Help me to trust You fully and walk in the supernatural faith that moves mountains. I receive it now, in Jesus' name. Amen!"
